ACT Scores Soar at Wingate High
Reader to Reader’s Navajo Nation Outreach Coordinator, Jeannette Ortega, has been doing an amazing job at Wingate High School in Fort Wingate, New Mexico.
She teaches 6 classes a day focusing on ACT test prep and college readiness.
The results of her hard work are clear, as ACT scores have soared 30 percent since she arrived there two years ago.
The dramatic rise in scores makes more students eligible for college, and makes college more affordable, as more students are eligible for scholarships.
